Radhika reflects on her connection with Vrinda’s character: “Playing Vrinda has been a special journey for me. It’s my first time stepping into the shoes of a mother on screen, and when I first heard the script, I immediately felt ready. The moment I started working with my on-screen son, Kanha, I didn’t see him as just a character. I never once thought of him as anything other than my own child. The bond we share on screen mirrors how we interact off screen. I play with him, take care of him and when I am not on set, he looks for me. That connection feels so natural to me.”
Radhika Muthukumar adds “Whenever we shoot scenes where Kanha is taken away from Vrinda, it’s incredibly emotional for me. The thought of being separated from a child you’ve raised and loved with all your heart is unbearable, and I channel that raw emotion into Vrinda. It feels real, and I think that’s why the scenes come across so powerfully.
